The Famous “Efestia” a celebration to remind us the glory of nature. A representation of the catastrophic eruption of the volcano back in 1600bc. On the small island of Nea Kameni fires and fireworks looks like a volcanic explosion!!! A combination of cultural events, music concerts and traditional dance performances takes place usually the first weekend after August 15th. Will capture your senses with its greatness!

The International Music Festival taking place in early September with a variety of famous artists from all over the world. Music cocktails perform at Nomikos Conference Center. Church Name Day Each Church in Greece has a celebration on the name day of its Patron Saint. These festivals are taking place on each church yard with free local delicacies and wine. Santorini’s most popular are in Akrotiri “Virgin Mary” on August 15th , in Kamari “Holy Mary Myrtidiotissa” on September 24th , in Oia (Ia) “Epta Pedon” on August 4th and the most impressing on the Volcanic Island of Palea Kameni on Saint Nicholas Day December 6th.
